2. Use License
- Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of any downloadable materials on the School’s website for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:
- modify or copy the materials;
- use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);
- attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on the School’s web site;
- remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or
- transfer the materials to another person or 'mirror' the materials on any other server.
- This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by Company at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.
The materials on the School’s website are provided 'as is'. The School makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties, including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. Further, the School does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials on its website or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to this site.
In no event shall the School be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on the School’s website, even if the School or an authorized of the School has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.
5. Revisions and Errata
The materials appearing on the School’s website may include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. The School does not warrant that any of the materials on its web site are accurate, complete, or current. The School may make changes to the materials contained on its web site at any time without notice. The School does not, however, make any commitment to update the materials.
The School has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by the School of the site. Use of any such linked website is at the user's own risk.
8. Governing Law
Any claim relating to the School’s website shall be governed by the laws of the School Owner’s home jurisdiction without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Evók Cancellation and Refund Policy for Courses, Workshops and Web Conferencing Workshops
Evók reserves the right to refuse/cancel a registration or event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the registration or event nonviable. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of a registration or event, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer the registration to the same course at the new future date.
Registration Cancellation by Participant
Registration cancellations received prior to the course start date may be eligible to receive a partial refund. The participant or credit card holder must make the refund request. Registration cancellations received on or after the course, workshop or web conferencing workshop start date will not be eligible for a refund.
Refund requests must include the name of the attendee and/or transaction number. Cancellation or refund requests must be submitted to [email protected] and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline of one day (24 hours) prior to the course start date. Refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment. All benefits and incentives received by the participant must be cancelled/returned to Evók.
Evók may be able to support requests to move participants to a workshop with a different start date. Requests to reschedule the start date for a workshop/course must be received prior to the start date of the session. Individuals requesting to reschedule on or after the start date will have to register for a later session with an additional workshop or course fee.
Web Conference Workshops: Evók is not responsible for the inability of any participant to participate due to technical issues beyond our control. Participants are encouraged to conduct a technical and sound check at least one (1) day prior to the scheduled start time of the web conference workshop on the computer that will be used for the workshop. The participant should allow enough time for any local technical support to prepare the computer. Instructions for participation in the web conference workshop and completion of a technical check are sent via email upon registration and again prior to the start of the web conference workshop.
These refund policies apply to all Evók registrations unless otherwise noted. Please read all individual workshop and course descriptions and program information thoroughly. Please submit a request to [email protected] with any questions regarding the cancellation policy.
Evók “Goods and Product Refund/Return Policy states: All returns of goods and materials purchased directly from Evók require prior authorization. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable; Evók must authorize returns within (2) weeks of purchase.
When you request a refund:
- You'll get a confirmation email when we get your refund request.
- You'll be un-enrolled from the course.
- It can take up to 7 days for funds to return to your account after a requested refund. If it has been longer than 7 days, contact us about the problem.
Reasons for Denied Refunds
While our 2-week refund policy is in place to protect participants, we must also protect our instructors from fraud and provide them a reasonable payment schedule. Payments are sent to instructors after 2 weeks, so we will not process refund requests received after the refund window.
If all course content was downloaded before the refund was requested, the refund request may be rejected. Finally, students who purchase and refund multiple courses over an extended period may be subject to suspension for abuse of the refund policy.
